Terms & Conditions
In order to secure services for your date, a non-refundable deposit must be paid after your initial inquiry, quotation and/or booking (7 days for Weddings), which can be paid in cash. If no payment is received (Weddings are within 7 days), your date will be released and available for booking by other clients. The remaining balance is to be paid the day before your event date. Last minute bookings (those with 14 days or less until the date of event) are payable in full up-front in order to secure the date.
A fee will be charged for locations outside of a 5 mile travel radius of 02451. The current amount charged is $2 per mile; this is subject to increase in 2022. All costs for travel to a booked event are to be paid by client. Costs may include, but not limited to: airfare, food, hotel, transportation and parking.
To secure a date for special occasions, photo-shoots or weddings, a signed contract is required with a 50% deposit due at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a signed contract and deposit are received.
A start and end time will be agreed by client and Debbie Vee. Each makeup requires a certain length of time to be finished, the usual timeframe is approximately 45 mins to 1.5 hour per person. When reserving your date, book accordingly. Any additional makeup needs outside contract will only be performed at the discretion of the makeup artist. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order to not break the contract. All makeup for more than one person must be at the same location and consecutive times (no gaps in between).
DOUBLE BOOKING CLAUSE
Due to potential scheduling conflicts, if prior bookings change of time and or locations and it causes tardiness or inability to perform services for your booking we adhere to the FCFS (the first to have come is the first to be served) policy whereby the requests of clients are attended to in the order that they reserve their services, without other biases or preferences. Debbie’s (Makeup Artist) obligation to give services hereunder is subject to the unavailability of the Artist as a result of sickness, accidents, acts of God and other reasons beyond the Artist’s control.
Makeup will be completed to client’s satisfaction, but is not to exceed allotted makeup time. Ample time is given for each makeup upon booking. Acceptance of completed makeup application by client is acknowledgement by client that makeup is done to his/her satisfaction.
Trial makeup (consultation) is available for services that do not include one. The additional trial makeup service is limited to 2 hours. This is a separate fee and is due when this service is rendered. Please call at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule a trial should you not be able to attend, otherwise it will be counted as a missed appointment and added to the final balance.
Debbie Vee reserves the right to terminate this contract for any non-compliance of terms, contract will become void and all monies given are non-refundable. This booking arrangement cannot be changed after the artist arrives for the appointment. Appointments cancelled or changed within 60 days of wedding day will not be eligible for a refund on deposits. If Debbie Vee can no longer perform services for any reason, she will provide a recommendation for a replacement makeup artist, it is at the client’s discretion whether they go ahead with the replacement makeup artist. Client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit is the only liability to Debbie Vee.
SERVICE LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Location of service for the day-of- event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs to complete the makeup. A “set up” table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at said location. Working electrical outlets must also be made available for use by the makeup artist if hair is part of the services of the booking. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. A high chair or bar stool is requested but not necessary. Please let Debbie know if a chair cannot be provided. Debbie Vee will not be held liable for any injuries that should arise while on location. Remember to wear a button down shirt or dressing gown so you don’t mess up your style while getting dressed.
All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist, Debbie Vee, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.
The final balance is due the day of and 7 days before the event date for weddings – no exceptions. The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) who has signed the booking contract. Acceptable forms of payment are cash.
